The Alguaire’s airport control tower is conceived as a unique work that goes beyond the structure itself, integrating the projects of the terminal buildings and annexes. Tower and ground will cover a total area of 3,724 m2.

The tower is planned as a 41 meters high building, consists of two volumes: the tower -which hosts the specific functions and control aircraft- and the ground -which receives the administrative and technical program-. Both are united by the curve that draws the cover of the first floor and that becomes the tower’s facade. This cover is extended until it melts harmoniously with the terminal building and the technicians’ ones

The visual unit of the building is achieved by coating the entire facade with a sheet of metal shades of green, ochre and yellow that contributes to their integration in the surrounding landscape. The deck will have vegetative cover cumin with stripes of wood and veneer. This plot emulates the vegetable plot-agricultural environment.
